Martha Messex Schaeffer, 80, entered into rest Monday, July 30, 2007 at St. Joseph’s/Can
dler Hospital in Savannah.
Mrs. Schaeffer worked for Southern Bell and K-Mart Corporation. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Valdosta.
Her survivors include a husband, Leonard E. Schaeffer, Jr., son Lenny and his wife Susan, of Thomson, grandchildren: Anna, Erin, and Abby Schaeffer, all of Thomson. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Jackson of Sardis.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 2, 2007 at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors Hodgson Chapel. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August, 2, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors Hodgson Chapel with Reverend Ronald E. Hasty officiating. Burial will follow at Bonaventure Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: James Eastmeade, Larry Jackson, Lyn Jackson, and Timmy Jackson.
